WIne and Oil Consortium Vino Nobile Montepulciano

The Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano was founded in 1965 with the aim of protecting and promoting the image of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (and later, the Rosso and Vin Santo) in Italy and around the world.
There are currently 230 grower-members of the Consorzio, representing over 90% of the local vineyards. 67 of the total of 89 local bottlers are members of the Consorzio.

The Consorzio’s main activities include organization of promotional and commercial events in the Montepulciano area (such as the Preview Tasting of Vino Nobile held every February) and participation (representing or accompanied by the members) in events and trade fairs in Italy and abroad.
The Consorzio carries out promotional activity through media communication and public relations. It also offers technical support for its members, related to bureaucratic and planning aspects, as well as organizing training sessions.

The various activities carried out by the Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano include the creation and running of the Enoliteca (Wine and Oil Shop) in the Fortress remaking by producers.
