Amati-Castelpoggio

Right from Casale Amati we follow upstream the river Parmignola, discovering other old stone buildings which used to be water mills (Mulino di Lucco). As we leave the creek we gain elevation through chestnut woods getting to Volpiglione Castle -an old ruin which has been investigated only in the ’70’s – all the way to Castelpoggio with nice views on Monte Sagro. From here we loop back to Casale Amati crossing back Parmignola creek and discovering characteristic and hidden small waterfalls.
