This walk winds through small villages of Monte Pisano, exploring the ANPIL of Valle del Lato. The path is occasionally not evident and, in summer, possibly overgrown with scrub vegetation but still intuitive. The Mediterranean scrub (myrtle, gorse, wild lavender, strawberry tree) is the protagonist of this path above the terraces cultivated with olive trees. From here you can admire the valley of Calci and especially the effects of the devastating fire of September 2018. Outside the valley the view sweeps over the Arno plain to the Livorno coast, with the Gorgona always peeping out.
