D2: Garfagnana: from mountain to city of arts

From our superb first-night staying – Capanne di Careggine- we take the chance to get to know those mountains from nearer.

We leave toward the village of Levigliani (high Versilia) admiring Monte Corchia, Altissimo and Sumbra (characterized by several geological evidences). If the weather allows we reccomend a 30mins detour (go/return) towards Passo Croce to admire one of the best panoramic spot of the area. All this before or after your visit to Antro del Corchia (book in advance, or ask to us) to visit this mountain from inside!

After this wonderful visit: take a chacne to refresh in Levigliani, or else drive back to Isola santa (other possible stop where to eat and drink) before you descend the valley towards Barga. Find your lodge in Casa Cordati and enjoy a stroll and aperitif in the alleys of town up to the dome (again, a must see spot, with panoramic view)
