From Agnano to Punta sughereta on Dinos’ footsteps

On the wall of the quarry the undulations due to the bottom currents, the drying structures, the dragging footprints and the fossil footprints of raindrops are very visible. Originally it was a low-lying delta plain with flat areas flooded by a veil of partly brackish water and periodically dried, as shown by an accurate study by G. Bianucci and W. Landini in 2005. Other deposits of interest are found along the eastern side of the Costia and on the top of La Sughereta.
