Padule from Anchione

A series of canals, poplars, banks and clear, in what is the largest internal wetland area of Tuscany, between the provinces of Pistoia and Florence. 2000 hectares of area between the Arno and the Apennines where in ancient times the waters coming from the Valdinievole and the surrounding reliefs stagnated meeting the plain, contained by the reliefs of Montalbano and Cerbaie giving life to a real lake
