The peak of Pania di Corfino

An hard uphill from the bothanical Garden of Orecchiella, will bring to us magnificent views over Garfagnana valley and surroundig mountains. On the uphill, the limestone face of the mountain is hard, steep and rocky. On the downhill side, we enter a totally different environment, already apenninic with its nice meadows, lush beech-tree-forests and gentle profiles. It is a favourite area for wild animals ( little deers, wild boars and several species of birds) which can occasionally be spotted
