Versilia is the part of the province of Lucca, delimited to the north by the homonymous river and to the south by the ancient Motrone fort. It includes the territories of the municipalities of Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Seravezza and Stazzema.
Today, in common use, the Camaiore basin and the coastal plain which extends up to Viareggio are also understood, identifying it with the tourist vocation of the Riviera.
Here we would rather emphasize the characteristics of Upper Versilia with small villages perched on the slopes of the Apuan Alps and linked to the traditions of the ancient quarrymen, shepherds and agricultural settlements. A heritage to discover on foot or by bicycle
